THRIVE! AWARDS

September 15, 2017

The Health Collaborative’s Healthy Spaces action team invites you to submit nominations for individuals, organizations and community groups who have made outstanding contributions toward improving health in the Dan River Region. To support their efforts, winners will receive $500 in THRIVE! funding to further their positive impacts on our community’s health

Presented by First Piedmont Corporation, applicants can nominate themselves, another individual, organization, group or institution for awards in the following categories.

  • Program: A wellness program is an effective method to promote health and well-being among staff, congregation, and community members. Programs encourage awareness of health-related issues, improve morale, and often reduces the cost of healthcare.
  • Policy: A wellness principle, rule, or guideline formulated and adopted by an organization, church or community group to assist members in maintaining or achieving wellness goals. Policies are designed to influence staff, guide decisions and actions.
  • Place: Environmental change is a way of modifying the workplace, church, school or gathering place to make healthy choices practical and available to all employees and community members. By changing the physical landscape, a big impact can be made.

THRIVE! Award applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, September 29th. For more information and eligibility requirements click here. Have questions? Contact Jason Bookheimer at bookhjl@danvilleva.gov or 434-799-5150.
